Feature · ManufactIQ for Claude

Your CRM, from Claude, as you.

Connect Claude to ManufactIQ and ask it what is open with a customer, which quotations have gone quiet, what falls due this month or what an order is still owed. It answers from your live CRM with exactly the tabs your role already gives you. Where your company allows it, Claude can also add notes and tasks, move enquiries along and build quotations, in your name.

  • On every plan
  • Signs in with your ManufactIQ account
  • Reads only, until you allow more
How it works

Add the connector, sign in once, ask away.

Nothing to install and nothing to set up per person. Each person connects for themselves, in a minute, in claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Cowork, the mobile apps or Claude Code.

  1. Check the switch

An administrator opens Administration, Claude. The connector is on for the company unless they turn it off; adding and changing records is off until they turn it on.

  2. Add the connector in Claude

In Claude, under Customize, Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the address below. In Claude Code, one command does the same.

  3. Sign in and allow

The first time, Claude opens ManufactIQ's own sign-in: your usual password and your two-step code. ManufactIQ then shows who is asking, which account it will act as and what it may do, and you press Allow.

  4. Ask

What is open with a customer before a call, which quotations to chase, what falls due this month. Every answer is a record you could have opened yourself, with a link to it.

    Enquiries

The address to add is https://manufactiq.co.uk/mcp. In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http manufactiq https://manufactiq.co.uk/mcp.

Three switches, each for the whole company.

What Claude may do is your administrator's decision, made once under Administration, Claude, and applied to everybody. Whatever is allowed, Claude only ever acts as the person who connected, with their role and their company's records.

  • ReadOn unless the company turns the connector off. Companies, contacts, enquiries, quotations, orders, invoices, products, tasks, notes, captured email, your own tabs, the reference data and the pipeline figures, each only where the role includes the tab.
  • Add and changeOff until it is turned on. Everything a person can do on their own tabs: raise and edit records, add notes and tasks, replace lines, move things between stages, approve website enquiries, build quotations. Recorded in their name and marked via Claude on the record and in the audit trail.
  • Send, finalise and deleteOff until it is turned on, and needs the switch above. Emailing a quotation or an invoice to a customer, marking an invoice sent or paid, deleting, sending an invoice to QuickBooks or Xero, making an API key, inviting a user. Until then Claude is refused those, and says why.
  • NeverAnything in another company, anything the person's role could not do, payments, bulk changes.

For administrators and developers too.

An administrator's connection reaches the administration: users and roles, the pipeline builder, settings, the automations builder, QuickBooks and Xero, imports. A developer can ask Claude how the ManufactIQ API works and get the reference itself, route by route, with an example call for each.

The API reference

For your IT team.

  • The sign-in is ManufactIQ's own: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, behind the usual password and two-step sign-in. Claude never holds a password. It holds a token ManufactIQ issued for that person, which lasts an hour at a time and renews for up to a month of use.
  • Every call runs as the person who connected: their company, their role, the same checks as the screens, and an audit trail that names Claude beside them.
  • Only what a tool returns leaves: the records Claude looked up for that person. No files, no passwords, nothing from another company.
  • Anybody can disconnect themselves from their account page. An administrator can disconnect one person or everybody, or switch the connector off for the company, which refuses new connections at once.
  • On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an owner can add the connector once for the whole organisation. Each person still signs in to ManufactIQ as themselves.
Plans

On every plan.

ManufactIQ for Claude is included in every plan and in the free trial, for everybody in the company. It needs a Claude account on a plan that allows custom connectors.

Skills that know the CRM.

The ManufactIQ plugin for Claude adds six skills on top of the connector: meeting preparation, quote follow-up, enquiry triage, order-to-cash checks, a pipeline review, and one for developers building on the API. Ask Claude to prepare you for a meeting, and the skill reads the customer's record, who you deal with, what is open and what was last said.

Questions

Questions about ManufactIQ for Claude.

Anything else, email support@manufactiq.co.uk, 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Which plans include ManufactIQ for Claude?

Every plan, and the free trial. It is on for a company unless its administrator turns it off under Administration, Claude, and nothing is set up per person.

What can Claude see?

What you can see: companies, contacts, enquiries, quotations, orders, invoices, products, tasks, notes, captured email, your own tabs and the pipeline figures, each only where your role includes the tab, and only your company's records.

Can Claude change our records?

Only if your administrator allows it, with a second switch. Then Claude can raise and edit records, add notes and tasks, move enquiries along and build quotations, in your name and marked via Claude on the record and in the audit trail. Emailing a customer, finalising an invoice and deleting need a third switch.

How do people connect?

In Claude, add a custom connector with the address https://manufactiq.co.uk/mcp. Claude opens ManufactIQ's own sign-in, password and two-step code included, then a page asking whether to allow the connection. In Claude Code, one command adds the same server.

What is shared with Anthropic?

Only what the tools you use return: the records Claude looked up for you, from your company, as you. Claude never sees your password. The connection is a token you can end at any time from your account page, and an administrator can end every connection in the company at once.
